(More customer reviews)Assuming you already have decent tap water, all this does is remove the chlorine odor. It's a pretty mild effect, so unless you are already aware of a chlorine odor or have had your water tested to be high in chlorine with a pool tester, I'd skip it. Having said that I can tell a difference (did a blind test) and it's dead simple to use after you install it.
