(More customer reviews)The indicator works well although it's a bit over-engineered.It would have been fine to provide a mechanical indicator into which you dial the expiration date of the filter.This would last forever as opposed to the (claimed) 5-year lifespan of the electronic indicator.The pitcher is a different story.Not nearly as well made as other Brita pitchers.The thumb level to open the pitcher is awkward.You must be careful not to fill the reservoir above the indicator line.The hinged flap on the front of the pitcher has enough resistance so that it does not swing open automatically.
